Join us as we take a trip into the heart of the Mayan Riviera, and explore two of the most beautiful hidden gems in the Caribbean. This Paradise Islands tour from Tulum is the perfect way to get an authentic taste of life in this part of the world and one of our most popular boat tours from Tulum.
We’ll kick the day off by picking you up from Tulum and taking you to our dock in Cancun where we’ll jet you away on our boat to travel to one of the beautiful coral reefs that dot the sea floor in the region. Then, it’s time to strap on your snorkel gear and start exploring. There’s no need for special training for snorkeling, so everyone can get involved and take in the unforgettable undersea sights. The coral reefs of the Mayan Riviera are the second largest in the world, and contain all the colors of the rainbow. Bring along an underwater camera for some awesome vacation photos! The reef is also teeming with wildlife, from tropical fish to slippery squid, so it’s a unique chance to see these creatures in their natural habitat, instead of in an aquarium.
Once you’ve had some time to explore the reefs, it’s back on the boat, and off to Isla Contoy. The Isla Contoy tour from Tulum is by far the most special part of the day. This tiny island is a protected area, and only a few tour companies are authorized to travel here. It’s so small, in fact, that only 200 people are allowed to visit the island each day! The island is home to some spectacular sweeping beaches, as well as a nature reserve that some of the Caribbean’s rarest animals call home. The only building on the island is a museum dedicated to the plants and wildlife of the island, so you can learn a little more about what makes it so special.
Your Isla Contoy tour from Tulum will start at the dock, where you will walk into the island and see it with your own eyes. You will then be taken on a 30-minute guided tour, which will take you to the lagoon that lies at the heart of the island, and is home to many rare species of birds. We’ll then trek our way through the island’s trails to the other side of Isla Contoy, where you can climb a lookout tower and gaze across this beautiful landscape. Once the tour is done, there’s some time to sunbathe on the beach, or take a dip in the clean, cool, and clear Caribbean waters.
When we’re finished at Isla Contoy, we will then move on to our Isla Mujeres tour. This island is home to a small town, which you can walk through to soak up some of the Caribbean atmosphere. Life moves at a slower pace here, and it’s the perfect spot to sit on the beach and sunbathe, with just the sound of the waves for company. Cancun and the other Mexican resorts can get pretty crowded, so this will make for a great opportunity to enjoy some rest and relaxation during your vacation. There’s also a chance to shop for some great souvenirs, too!
As you can see, then, this Paradise Islands tour from Tulum is the perfect way to see a less-known side of this amazing region. From snorkeling and sunbathing to watching the wildlife, there’s something for everyone on this day long adventure. If you want a taste of everything the region has to offer, then this is the perfect tour for you, so make sure you book your place today!
